Joyce Mae Warren Obituary
Joyce Mae Warren, was born on January 9, 1941 in Navasoto, Texas, to the parents of John Henry Warren Sr. and Nettie Lee (Alexander) Warren. As a young child she moved to Dallas, Texas with her family and attended Dallas Independent School District (DISD). She later became a beloved resident of DeSoto, TX.
She passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024. She was proceeded in death by her parents and two dear brothers, Oscar T. Jones and James Roosevelt Warren.
She was a cherished sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her only son, Alfred Ray Warren, fondly known as Shane, and her only grandson, Alton Ray. She also leaves behind a loving family including brothers Willie R. Warren (Shelia), John H. Warren (Joyce), sisters Jennifer Warren, and Shirley Warren Jackson (Carlton), as well as a host of nieces, and nephews.
She was a natural problem solver, known for her tenacity in tackling challenges and finding solutions. Her ambition and determined nature propelled her to a supervisory role at Brass Craft, where she retired after many years of dedicated service.
She had a passion for exploring and decorating. The Dallas Arboretum held a special place in her heart and she frequently enjoyed sharing the experience with her family during her early years.
Above all, she found joy in the laughter of her family and friends. Her memory will forever serve as a beacon of love, strength, and hard work. Her spirit and zest for life continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Joyce Mae Warren will be deeply missed, but affectionately remembered by all whose lives she touched.
