He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipe Garcia Rios and Sara Herrera Olvera; and his siblings, Sara, Felipe and Lola Garcia Herrera.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Guillermina Sanchez-Ponce; and his sons, Luis Felipe (Juanis Garcia), Jose Luis Jr. (Andrea Garcia), Eduardo (Lorena Torea) and Hugo (Kelly Torea). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
