He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vinson Gatson, Sr. and Annie Louise Gatson; and his brother Bobbie Gatson. He is survived by: his wife Carrie E. Gatson; his son Joshua Wayne Gatson; his stepchildren, Tina Dais, Tommy Winston Jr. and Tyrone Winston; and his siblings, Larry Gatson, Connie Gatson and Keith Gatson. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and great friends.
