Joan Kathryn Feltzman Obituary
In Loving Memory of Joan Kathryn Feltzman7/14/1932 – 9/14/2024Joan Kathryn Feltzman, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, September 14 after a lengthy battle with dementia. Joan, also known as Momma, Granny, and the Big Kahuna, will forever live in our hearts as we cherish memories of her incredible love, sense of humor, hospitality, and patience. Before her illness she loved crossword puzzles, reading, British TV shows, and entertaining family. She was an amazing cook and many of her recipes, especially her pies, will be enjoyed for generations to come.
Joan was preceded in death by husband Frank, parents Frank and Evelyn Wagner, and her beloved son Frankie – who is no doubt pleased to be hugging his Momma in heaven now. She is survived by daughters Paula Duncan, Donna Sanders, Ingrid Larsen, and Elizabeth Loggins, her brother Rev. James Wagner, twelve grandchildren, and twenty-seven great grandchildren, two nephews, and one niece, along with her extended family of in-laws who absolutely adored her.
Joan planned for her passing well in advance and will be interred with Frankie. She didn't want a funeral service, rather for the family to celebrate her life as we so often celebrated holidays – by gathering together for good food, music, laughter … and Shiner Bock and margaritas. We all sincerely appreciate your prayers during this time as we mourn and celebrate Joan/Momma/Granny. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to the Dementia Society of America or any other Alzheimer's/Dementia charity of your choosing.
