She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ross Black and Mary Louise Holland Black. She is survived by: her husband David Houck; her children, Lisa Anne Tolbert Lowe and Byron Philip Tolbert; her grandsons, Clayton Arthur Werner, Clinton Morris Tolbert, Mason Byron Tolbert and Charles William-Lowe; and her siblings, Linda Sue Black Schmitt and John Robert Black.
