We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Jerry Wayne Herring (Dallas, Texas), born in Grandfield, Oklahoma. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Margie Eulene Laing Killion; his wife Ruth Eileen Reed Herring; his grandson Sean Reed; his parents, Vernard Laverne Herring and Lois Lee Powers Herring; and his siblings, Vernard Laverne Herring Jr., Johnny Lynn Herring, Tommy Neal Herring, Ira Sue Collington and Betty Lou Lewis.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Lee Herring, Keith Reed and Kelly Reed; his daughter-in-law Shanna Coleman-Reed; his grandchildren, Henry Reed, Daniel Reed and Katherine Reed; his brother Bobby Rex Herring; and his sisters-in-law, Candy Herring, Barbara Kennedy Herring, Judy Michael Herring and Reva Perry.

We are not in need of a lot of additional flower arrangements since the gatherings will be more informal, but you can donate to your own favorite charity in J.W.'s memory or to one he donated to: St. Jude, Wounded Warrior, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, Operation Smile, Shriners Hospitals for Children, North Texas Food Bank and the ASPCA.
