He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie DeWees and Opal DeWees; his brothers, Donald and Richard; and his grandson Travis.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Scott (Curtis), Jodie Cates (Michael) and Craig DeWees; his sister Janice (Larry); and his grandchildren, Brittany (Clayton), Abbie, Sadie, Megan, Erik and Cooper.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the Restland Funeral Home - Wildwood Chapel (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75081).
