Jay Stephen Wimmer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jay Stephen Wimmer of Dallas, Texas, born in Slaton, Texas, who passed away on February 28, 2024 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton "Bus" Wimmer and Valeria Wimmer; his sister Corlis Pate; his aunts, Lydia Buxkemper and Sister Angelita Heinrich; his uncle Walter (Franklin Heinrich); and his in-laws, James and Margie Hemphill.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Wimmer; his son Brook Wimmer (Beth) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Owen and Tatum Wimmer; his siblings, Sharon Oliver (Russell) of Austin, Gary Wimmer (Judy) of Longview, Dale Wimmer (Belinda) of Crosbyton and Chris Wimmer (Waynette) of Abernathy; his aunt Sister Cleo Heinrich of St. Louis, MO; his uncle Royce Heinrich (Nancy) of Lubbock; his siblings-in-law, Michael Hemphill (Norma) of Plano and Patricia Burg (Bob) of Portland, OR; and his nephew Russell Lee Oliver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
