She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew J. Fleming of Louisiana and Salvacion Fleming; her husband Reuben White Egan; and her son Reuben David Egan. She is survived by: her aunt Evelyn; her daughter Beverly Egan Houston; her son-in-law John Stewart Houston; her grandchildren, Brett Egan Houston and Alexis Stewart Houston; her great grandchild Santana Houston Andrade; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Ball Egan; and her grandson Reuben Jonathan Egan.
Among the many accolades she received, being inducted into the LSU Opera Hall of Fame stands as a cherished honor, reflecting her extraordinary contributions to the world of music. Memorials may be made to the LSU School of Music and the Shreveport Opera, honoring her legacy and ensuring that her passion for music lives on in future generations.
