With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hubert Lee Cooks (Dallas, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 29, 2024 at the age of 83. Though Hubert Lee may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hubert Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Willie Cooks, Robert L. Cooks, Clearance E. Cooks, Lennon Cooks, Evelyn Medlock (Cooks) and Sulestene Hollingworth (Cooks).
He is survived by: his sister Esther L. Medlock (Cooks). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery (1311 Murdock Rd, Dallas, TX 75217).
