He was predeceased by: his siblings, Anita Revilla and Armando Zarate. He is survived by: his wife Nicka; his children, Richard Castillo (Carolyn), Frank Zarate Jr. (Marie), David Zarate and Priscilla Zarate; and his siblings, Robert Zarate, Ruby Alamazan and Ofelia Herrera. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
