She is survived by: her sons, Derrick Vonza Akins and Corey Lamont Akins; her husband Clemon Calvin Akins Jr. of Desoto, Texas; her grandchildren, Christopher Calvin Akins DeSoto of Texas, Zachary Cole Akins Aubrey of Texas, Ellis Wendell Akins (Troy Mae Akins) and Paige Marie; and her great grandchild Grace Evelyn Domio.
