He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Pope and Pearl Waddill Pope; his sisters, Dorothy Gracey, Gloria Johnstone and Becky Shelton; and his grandson John D. Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Pope of Dallas; his children, Paul Pope of Tyler, Michael Franklin of Dallas and Terry Cosper of Irving; his sister Charlotte Townsend of Allen; and his grandchildren, John Pope, Charles Cosper, Jr., Ashley Taylor and Brittany Pope. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
