He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Bryum and Minnie F. Byrum (Roberson); his children, Eldon "Deon" Byrum of Locust Grove, OK, Dianna Allred of Fort Worth, TX, Larry Byrum of Trinity, TX and Ed; his former wife Melba Byrum (McCreary); and his granddaughters, Mindy Sutterfield and Misty Byrum.
He is survived by: his wife Alline Byrum (Dove); his daughter Sherri Benson; his son-in-law C. R. Benson (Red) of Wylie, TX.; his stepsons, Randy Bostain of Groesbeck, TX, James Bostain of Fultondale, AL and Larry Dove of Flower Mound, TX.; and his grandchildren, Dean "Dino" Byrum, Donny Byrum, Shelly Fuentes, Laramie Byrum, Jeremy Byrum, Brandy Phipps and Amber Benson. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
