He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Burton and Mary Burton; and his nephew Robert Holliday Jr.. He is survived by: his close friend Ernestina Mendoza; his children, Jennifer Burton and Matthew; his daughter-in-law Veronica Burton; his son Daniel Burton; his sister Linda Doherty; and his grandchildren, Olivia (Sweetie), Aubrey and Jaxon.

A prayer will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Grove Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park (3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228). Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
