She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hesse and Christina Hesse (Hencheid); her husband Sanders, Jr.; and her stepson Richard (Selina). She is survived by: her stepchildren, Hylton B Sanders III (Sandra) and Cheryl Carter (Steve); and her grandchildren, Carlton Alexander (Caitlin), Shelby Presser (Brian), Amy Tarno (JJ), Samantha Germanos (Brandon), Leslie Whorton, Morgan Cook, Stuart Murphy (Jessica), Timothy Sanders, Brittany Johnson (Eric) and Makki Torres (Cade). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home & Hillcrest Mausoleum & Memorial Park (7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (714 N Main St, Muenster, TX 76252).
