In the sacred silence of farewell, Eddie Lane is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Eddie Lane's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parent Minnie Simpson; his siblings, Jimmie Simpson, Billy Simpson, Benita Rose Sims and Alice Faye McLane; and his children, Alicia Gamble and Barry Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Simpson; his children, Anthony Jackson and Shannon Simpson; his daughter-in-law Shenikwa Simpson (Rachel Gamble); and his sister Carolyn Brown. He is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home (6449 University Hills Blvd, Dallas, TX 75241). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Open Door Community Church (944 E Ledbetter Dr, Dallas, TX 75216).
