He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Abney; his parents, Ivison Abney, Sr. and Angeline Abney; and his siblings, Johnny Abney, Ivison Abney, Jr., Acie Pryor, Linda Hulett, Chester Abney and George Ray Abney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Felecia Peters (Ronell Peters) and Dr. Angela Herron (Algernon Herron); his grandchildren, Isaiah Peters of Los Angeles, CA, Victoria Peters, Daniel Peters, Ellis Herron, Ethan Herron and Evan Herron; his siblings, Charles Abney, Pam Carroll and Marcellus Abney; and his sister-in-law Iree Stratford (late Ivison Abney, Jr.). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
