He is survived by: his wife Brenda Jackson-Carson; his siblings, Willie Wayne, Nancy Anderson, David and Eric; his children, Erica Carson-Boyd (Lonnie) and Justin Carson (Vernetta); his stepchildren, Kennedra McDonald-Green (Courtney), Gerald Jackson (Vicky) and Larry Jackson (Kena); his grandchildren, Johnathan Luster and Victoria Buchanan; his stepgrandchildren, Kenneth, Alicia Crawford and Carda Jackson; and his cousins, Valencia Harden and Rosalyn Burton.
