She was predeceased by: her husband L. D. Carpenter Jr.; her parents, Luther Black and Georgia Arnetta Black; her sister Eldean Benson; and her nephew Lonnie Hamm.
She is survived by: her children, Shelly Anne Carpenter Taylor (Tye R. Taylor) and Randall Allen Carpenter (Kami Carpenter); her grandchildren, Bayley Ellison (Hunter), Bryne Lea (Nate), Thaddeus Taylor (Giavonna), Kennedy Carpenter, Karrigan Nichols (Chris), Nolan Carpenter, Markus Carpenter, Jack, Blake Lea and Layla Nichols; her siblings, Nelda Allums (Mike), Darlene Hamm (Larry), Amy Lambert (Gary), David Black (Barbara) and Dennis Black (Kim); and also, Beckham, Vivianne, Mason and Rosie Ellison. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Arledge Ridge Cemetery (3743 S State Hwy 78, Bonham, TX 75419). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lovvorn Hall (1707 San Jacinto St, Dallas, TX 75201).
