With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Mae Thompson of Dallas, Texas, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 13, 2025 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her husband Anderson Thompson; her parents, Ernest Cooper and Lizzie Cooper (Dudly); and her siblings, Ernestine, Beatrice, Wilhelmina, Joseph, Eva, Glen and John.
She is survived by: her sons, Taffray Thompson (Audrey) of Houston, Ronald Thompson (Barbara) of Garland and Michael Thompson (Satin) of Dallas, Texas; and her grandchildren, Javonda Lightner, Tiffany Thomas, Taffany Davis, Trellis Stevenson, Ahmad Muhammad and Michael Thompson, Jr..
Viewing was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the B. B. Owen Community Center Chapel (Salvation Army Building) (451 W Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
