He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vida Ramey and Arthur Merton Chase; his wife Garlen Chase (Mack); his stepchild Glen Mack; his sister Judy Webb (George); his son Don Jr. (Kim); his grandchildren, Olivia, Sam and Maisy Chase; and his former wife Phyllis Chase (Barnard) of Houston.
Don was involved in the Association of Former Students, serving over 30 years as his class agent, and generously donating his time and gifts to support the baseball program and the Corps of Cadets.
