She was predeceased by: her former husbands, Bob Sands and Kenneth Warnack. She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Matthew Merritt and Alyssa Franklin; her sister Verna Kraft; and also, Werner and Becky Rindfleisch.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association (vnatexas.org/give) which is a charity that Darlene chose to support throughout the years.
