He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Martinez and Isabel Martinez; his sons, Damian Tyrone Martinez, Sr. and David Gutierrez; his great grandchild Donovan J. Sanchez, Jr.; and his siblings, Macario Martinez, Nicholas Martinez, Jr. and Esther Pena.
He is survived by: his children, Criselda Martinez of Texas, E. Danielle Martinez (Beverley) of Austin, Daniel "Bobby" Martinez (Carmen) of Moses Lake and Jimmy David Martinez of Grand Prairie; and his sister Mary Martinez of Dallas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
