He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Watson; his father Robert Watson (Flora Watson); and his sisters, Joy Howell, Shirley Loftsom (Roy Loftsom) and Eddie Watson (Janine Watson).

He is survived by: his sons, David Watson (Lynne Watson) and Michael Watson (Kimberly Watson); his granddaughters, Ashley Norman (Jeremy Norman), Alyssa Cox and Amanda Hollenback (Russell Hollenback); his great grandchildren, Braxton Norman, Grayson Norman, Sadie Norman, Addison Hollenback, Mason Hollenback and Cason Hollenback; and his sister Flo Caldwell (Hoarce Caldwell).
