He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Dean Atteberry and Nita Joann Austin; his parents-in-law, James Fred Alvis and Margaret Joyce Alvis; and his son Derek Wayne Scott Atteberry.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Alvis-Atteberry; his siblings, Karen Schrolemer (Bob), Paul Stuart Atteberry of Duncanville, Gregg Lewis Atteberry of Cedar Hill, Scott Wesley Atteberry of Cedar Hill and Troy Dean Atteberry of Cedar Hill, Texas.; his sister-in-law Mary Alvis Hagler of Kansas; his stepsister Devra Rose of Red Oak; his close friend Marty Hunt of Cleburne, Texas.; his niece Jessica Suzanne Atteberry-Allison (Nick); his great-nephew Elijah Grant Brown; his great-niece Summer Ellen Allison; his uncle Brucie Bruce; his aunts, Shirley Wheeler Ivy (Billy) and Judy Wheeler Williams; and also Jack Atteberry. He is also survived by eight nieces, two nephews, four great nieces and two great nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter in the name of Bruce Wayne Atteberry.
