He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Sim, Mattie Scruggs Lyons, James and Rebecca Smith Spencer; and his parents, Joe Leslie and Nellie Mae Spencer Lyons.
He is survived by: his wife Emma L. Tucker of Rowlett, Texas; his children, Byron Jevon Lyons (Janice) of The Colony, Texas and Shaun Lyons Patmon (Todd) of Round Rock, Texas; his grandchildren, Elora Prescott (Jamie) of Los Angeles, Tyler Patmon (Tiffany) of Forney, Briana Fisher (Marc) of Euless, Trevor Lyons of New York City, Emma Patmon of Round Rock and Coleman Patmon of Round Rock, Texas; his great grandchildren, Clarissa Jansen, Elise Prescott, Kaylie Fisher, Liam Prescott, Helena Fisher, Rhea Fisher, Atom Fisher, Taliya Patmon and Taya Patmon; and his brothers, David Lyons (Ethelene) of Sachse and Steven Lyons of Lewisville, Texas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
