He was predeceased by: his brother Len; his son Jeffrye Simmons; his parents, Jeff Simmons and Alyce Simmons; and his siblings, Bobbie Nell Carey, Tom Simmons, George Simmons and Virginia Houchins.
He is survived by: his son Kadence Simmons. He is also survived by granddaughter and several nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
