He was predeceased by: his significant other Susan Lay Atwell; and his children, Webster Atwell, II and Peggy Sue Herrington. He is survived by: his children, Anthony Atwell, Jr. (Rene Atwell), Christopher D. Atwell (Gretchen Atwell) and Mimi Rodgers (Jason Rodgers); his stepson David Campbell (Kristie Campbell); his grandchildren, Alexander Atwell, Anthony Hill Atwell, Kathryn Grace Atwell, Anna Rodgers, Jack Rodgers, Brenden Hexberg, James Campbell, Lee Gute, Tristan Campbell and Ella Campbell; his brother William Webster Atwell of San Antonio; and his significant other's daughters, Mimi and Peggy.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church (3300 Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75205).
