He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Brooks and Roosevelt Brooks. He is survived by: his sons, Verdell Brooks of Jacksonville Florida, Regie Brooks (Sheleta) of Plainview Tx, Damyra Brooks (Jessie) of Wichita Kansas and Kyann Brooks of Dalhart; his sister Rosemary Boyd of Jacksonville, Florida; and also DeLois Brooks. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (315 Texas St, Dalhart, TX 79022). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
