He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Matthews and Velma Matthews; his wife Vivian Curry of Dalhart; his daughter Leslie Weede (Jackie) of Fritch; his brother Don Matthews (Wanda) of Dalhart; his grandchildren, Matthew Weede (Rebecca) of Palm Bay, Florida and Brenda Weede of Atlanta, Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Samantha and Rachel Weede. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
