He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Best; his daughter Lisa; his wife Jane; his children, Kelly (Jill) of Albuquerque, John of Dalhart, BJ Medford (Tanya Murff) of Dalhart and Kristina Thaxton of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Jordan Medford, Chase Thaxton, Chance Thaxton, Clayton Medford, Kellby Medford and Kasi Medford; his great grandchild Yumi Thaxton; and his sisters, Jody Smith (Helen Raulston) and Bear Barker (Destiny). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
