He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Carabajal Montano and Elvira Maldonado Montano; his siblings, Obdulia Maldonado, Julia Montano and Diego Montano (Red); his grandson Robert Blaze Nunez; and his great grandchild Jared Analla.
He is survived by: his siblings, Benny Montano, Freda Allison, Clara Thomas and Janie Contreras; his children, Lorine Torrez (Joe), Dolores Montano, Clara Bautista (Rick), Helen Montano and Larry Joe Montano (Esperanza); and his grandchildren, Leo Ray Vasquez, Michael Vasquez (Katrina), Nickie Louise Vasquez-Spicer, Melissa Gladden (Jerrod), Anthony Torrez and Robert Torrez. He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
