He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dane; his sister Wilma Phillips; and his children, Brent Dane, Troy Dane and Gwenann Sprecher. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Horizon Funeral Home (701 Elm Ave, Dalhart, TX 79022). Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1000 E 16th St, Dalhart, TX 79022).
