He was predeceased by: his parents, Reyes Arriaga Mendosa and Nicanora Briones Arriaga; his sons, Michael Ray Arriaga and Pedro Arriaga; his great grandchild Mariah Arriaga; and his siblings, Salvador Arriaga, Marcelino Arriaga, Felix Arriaga, Rosa Arriaga and Savina Carlos.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret G. Arriaga; his children, Adela, Philip Arriaga (Pamela), Reyes Jesse Arriaga, Rebecca Ann Randal (Felton), Armando Arriaga (Veronica) and Viviano Arriaga (Lori); his daughters-in-law, Sonya De La Rosa and Carmen Rodriguez; and his brother Jesse Arriaga (Susie). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins and other loving family members and friends.
