With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Mangum Sr. of Daisetta, Texas, who passed away on January 27, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Mangum and Eliza J. Fondon Mangum; his wife Pauline Mangum; his son James Earl Mangum, Jr. (Jim Earl); his grandson James Earl Mangum III (Bubba); his son-in-law Richard Patton; and his siblings, Harold Mangum, Elvy Mangum Sr., Margaret Scofelia, Trunie Blomquist, Lula Mae Lynch, Cecil Clegg and Louise Bell Davis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Alice Jane Bracken (John Wayne) and Tammie Sue Patton; his grandchildren, James R. Broussard (Tara) and Dawn Casey (Matt); his great grandchildren, Garret, Lainey Broussard, Kyla Cote, Riley and Jolie Casey; and his stepgrandchildren, Robert Patton (Diane), Diana Roth (Jacob), Elizabeth Tanner (Jerry) and Richard Patton (Heather). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Allison Funeral Service (1101 N Travis St, Liberty, TX 77575). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
