With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruie Ward Wilkerson Jr. of Hughes Springs, Texas, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on April 28, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruie Wilkerson and Alma Wilkerson; and his siblings, Jean Spell, Riley Wilkerson and Troy Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Wilkerson; his daughters, Lauri Elliot (Brian) of Pine Forest, Katlyn Pirtle (Noah) of Daingerfield and Jasmine Wilkerson of Hughes Springs; his grandchildren, Brenton Whitney (Samantha) of Buna, Lauren Young (Taylor) of Buna, Jonah Pirtle and Joseph Pirtle; his great grandchildren, Bryson Whitney, Lexi Young and Mailynn Young; and his sister Margaret Ames (Don) of Austin.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Church (909 Linda Dr, Daingerfield, TX 75638). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Eagle Heights Church (11815 I-10, Orange, TX 77630).
