Rita Jean Crossland Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Jean Crossland of Daingerfield, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne A. Nation I and Jessie Faye King Nation; her husband Windell Thomas Crossland; her siblings, Kay Baker, Ginger Nation and Wayne Nation II; her grandson Brady Lakey; her great grandchild Anthony Tubbs; and her nephew Paul Edward Nation.
She is survived by: her children, Chip Crossland of Daingerfield, Jeff Crossland (Robin) of Gilmer and Teresa Crossland (Mack Gowanlock) of Marshall; her siblings, Paul Nation (Kristi) of San Diego and Connie Smith of Bloomfield; and her grandchildren, Sheri Piatt (Jimmy) of Longview, Justin Thompson of Hallsville, Zac McCarty (Alexis) of San Antonio, Samuel Crossland of Gilmer, Robinann Noland (Daniel) of Gilmer and Jessie Nation of Gladewater. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Christ (214 N Cypress St, Ore City, TX 75683).
