He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucinda Peel and Palmore; and his daughter Wanda Boyd-Traylor. He is survived by: his sister Evangelist Mary Pritchett; his sister-in-law Dorothy Bobby; his children, Vernell Morton (Fredrick), James "Bubba" Everett, Diaudra Nemons (David) and Danny Mitchell (Erica); his grandchild Princess Edwards (Darrell); his great grandchild Eugene Morton (Brenda); his grandchildren, Destiny Smith, David Nemons Jr., Danny Mitchell Jr. and Deshaun Nemons; and his great grandchildren, Seth, Jaylen, David III, Londyn and Jordan.
