He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Ann Childress; his parents, Corrie Childress and Pearl Childress; and his sister Shirley Welch. He is survived by: his children, Corrie Childress (Dawn) of Jenkins, James Childress (Amanda) of Jenkins, Mark Childress of Round Rock, Barry Childress (Eliza) of Cedar Park, Texas, Barbara Holland of Daingerfield and Tracey Doss of Hughes Springs, Texas; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Byrd, Pete Rios, Chris Rios, Kaitlyn Hathaway, Kolby Childress, Noah Childress, Jennie Peart and Jessica Ashford. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
