He was predeceased by : his parents, Edmond Brown and Mattie Brown; his wife Connie Lou Brown; his siblings, Weldon Brown, Douglas Brown, Paline Brown, Jerldine Goss, Barbara Sue Evans and Bobbie Ruth Freeman; and his grandson Gregory Chase Holt.

He is survived by : his granddaughters, Lacy Boyd (Kyle), Miranda Santiago and Sarah Postrorino. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home (400 Webb St, Daingerfield, TX 75638).
