With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Freeda Guan Blackerby of Daingerfield, Texas, born in Throckmorton, Texas, who passed away on March 24, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilmon Latham and Lucile Latham; her husband Frank Blackerby; and her siblings, Keitha Tate, Ramonia Latham, Donald Latham, Cruz Latham and Powell Latham.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Mullins (Tony) of Edmond, Ralph Blackerby (Vanna) of Lexington Park and Quentin Blackerby (Sharon) of Plano, Texas; her grandchildren, Joshua Mullins (Elizabeth), Caleb Mullins (Dorota), Seth Mullins (Ashley), Nathan Blackerby (Anja), Adam Blackerby, Lannea Pemberton (David), Asa Blackerby (Katherine), Aaron Blackerby (Candace), Kenan Blackerby (Jaclyn) and Jason Blackerby; her great grandchildren, Corbin, Landice, Hayden, Hallie, Harper, Daniel, Eleanor, James, Amelia, Timothy, Colt and Hank; her siblings, Kenneth Latham, Zane Latham (Diane) and Quein Latham (Susie); and her siblings-in-law, Earl Tate, Pam Latham, Valene Latham and Martha Loggains (Chuck). She is also survived by loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Guan's name to the Ghana Missions in care of Daingerfield Church of Christ.
