He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvie D. Currey and Hazel Currey; his former wife Edna Jewel Currey; his brothers, Alvie D. Currey and Preston Currey; and his grandson Lee Michael Thomas Stillwell.
He is survived by: his wife Brinda Currey; his children, Robin Hall of LaPorte, Karen Carroll (Danny) of Hughes Springs, Pam Currey of Hughes Springs and Kelly Currey (Faye) of Hughes Springs; his stepdaughter Carrie Monje (Alex) of Lubbock, Texas; his grandchildren, Brian Stillwell (Michele), Kerri Clyatt (Rod), Erika Davis, Ruth Horton (Chad), Shelly Cheavens, Brittny Tschetter (Jared), Ryan Currey, Jeni Peart (James), Matt Endsley, Michael Endsley, Christa Huie, Daniel Carroll, Lisa Byrd (Chris), Laura Schulz (Lawson), Josh Monje and Joseph Monje (Tamesha); and his sisters, Wynell Steeley and Carolyn Hicks. He is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a host of extended family and friends.
