He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Sampson and Ethel Sampson; his daughter Melissa Michelle Sampson; his brothers, Billy Mac Sampson, Emmitte Carrol Sampson, Boyd "Peachy" Sampson and Leo Edward Sampson; and his brother-in-law Deryll Wiseman.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Sampson of Daingerfield; his children, Melinda Allen (Wayne) of Daingerfield, Phillip Sampson (Shelli) of Daingerfield and William Sampson (Monica) of Hughes Springs; and his sisters, Lois Wyatt (Butch), Sandra Fuller (James), Peggy Sumners (Donald), Brinda Wiseman and Margaret Wise (Roger). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
