He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eva M. Watts (Bartlett) and Merton E. Watts; his wife Betty Jo Watts; his children, Kim Birkelbach (Darren) of Boston, MA and Kendall Watts (Jennifer) of Montgomery, TX; his grandchildren, Madelyn Birkelbach and Travis Watts; and his brother Bill Watts (Denise) of Brandon. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice.
