He is survived by: his wife Emma Lee; his children, Steven Petty (Jeannie) of Clear Lake, Scott Petty of Houston and Janet Angst (Stewart) of Cypress; his stepchildren, David Thomas (Linda) of Texas City and Denise Thomas of La Marque; his grandchildren, Trisha West (David), Whitney Johnson (Stephen), Erica Petty, Steven Petty (Melissa), Elisha Angus (Michael), Jeremy Petty, Taylor Angst, Marshall Angst and Danielle Angst; his great grandchildren, Granger Petty and Layla West; and his sister Una Jones of Georgetown.
L.E was always interested in maintaining the health of his home town, thus in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in L.E.'s name to the Marquez Cemetery Association, 438 N Trinity St, Marquez, TX 77865.
