He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Swain; his wife Ledra Kay Swain; his son John David Swain; his daughters-in-law, Ann (Tyler Swain) of Hockley and Liz of Houston, Texas; his brothers, Ralph Lynn Swain of Houston and Ray Allen Swain; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Swain (Mary Swain Hatcher) of La Porte and Glenn Hatcher of Spring, Texas.. He was also cherished by grandchildren.
