It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Roberts Gibbs (Cypress, Texas), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on January 7, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Gibbs and Ruth A. Gibbs of Greenfield, Indiana.; his brother John Gibbs of Tybee Island, Georgia; and his nieces and nephews, Susan Ramsey (Chris), Kristine "Kit" Brady, David Brady, Scott Gibbs (Shannon) and Steven Gibbs.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Ann Gibbs (Michael "Mike" Sims) of Cypress and Jeffrey Alan Gibbs; his stepgrandchildren, Ashlyn Marie Sims and Lauren Michelle Sims; his sisters, Margaret Gibbs of Richmond and Virginia; his great-niece Castle Hazzard (Scott); and his great-nephews, Jimmy Ramsey and Wes Ramsey.
