He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Reed and Irvin Reed; and his siblings, Leafie Stevens, Irvin, Donald, Lamar and Russell Reed.

He is survived by: his aunt Elva (George Smith); his wife Mary Ann; his children, Eric (Cristine Reed) and Nicole Eckard; his grandsons, Joshua Reed (Shelby), Jacob Reed and Jack Eckard; his great grandchildren, Luciana and Leopold Reed; and his siblings, Allan Reed, Marilyn Mengle and Elva Nardozzi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, the Patient Access Network Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
