He was predeceased by: his daughter Judy Perkins; and his siblings, T. O. Perkins, Valentine, O. R., Edwin, Frank, Dorothy Burton and Diamond Sewell.
He is survived by: his wife Teena Perkins of Cushing, TX; his children, Janis Perkins of Dallas and Jon Perkins of Dallas; his sister Daisy Masch (Johnny) of Denton, TX; his sister-in-law Melba Perkins of Flint, Texas; and his grandson Hudson Perkins. He is also survived by 12 step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
After he and Teena were married in June of 2000, he attended Cushing Church of Christ, serving as the church treasurer there also until Parkinson's disease rendered him unable to do so.
